Recipe // The Green Juice

A while ago, I made the decision to purchase a Nutribullet. For those of you wondering what this is, the website describes it as a 'nutrition extractor', but this basically means powerful blender.

It's incredibly easy to use and clean, and helps with getting your five-a-day in a quick fuss free juice or smoothie.

Below is my own recipe for a delicious yet nutritious green juice




Ingredients:

Handful of spinach
1/2 green apple
Handful of broccoli
1 Banana
1 chopped carrot
Grated fresh ginger
Handful of chia seeds


Method:

Put in the leafy veg first, in this case it's the spinach, then chop up the rest of the ingredients small enough not to strain the blade, finally add the chia seeds and grate in enough ginger to suit your personal taste, screw on the blade and mix!


You can adapt this recipe to suit your own preference, adding in or taking out anything you'd like. It may seem a bit daunting at first to mix ingredients such as banana and spinach, but fear not, as they all complement each other and it's surprisingly tasty!
